Status Update and Recent Additions

Yo! Been laying low and staying quite much away from my own stuff lately. I managed to screw up my DWIV entry due my priority arrangements (in other not-so-fancy words… I was busy at work ). Anyway the concept sketches have been added to my 2D gallery now. Even though this one didn’t quite go as planned, I believe I’ll try again next year. Despite the short time I got to use for it, it was great fun!

Btw. TOIK, the other interesting person here, added his cool portfolio to his profile just a while ago. (Yes, he is still alive ‘n kickin’ aswell)

Dominance War rages on!

It seems that I was able to keep my word and actually started working on my DW IV entry. There’s not much I can say yet, except that the general level of this competition is once again incredibly high!

Dominance War IV calls!

As the title says, this amazing competion is here again and yesterday had its kick off. I’ve been watching closely the clash of these titans of art in the past few years and now I thought it’s finally the time for me to join in. I hope to learn a lot on this trip through Dominance War and I strongly believe, that if anything can push me to surpass my present self far more than ever before, it is this competition.

I’ll be going for 2D as I did with DW IV warm-up mini competition couple of weeks ago. You can check my entry from here. I seriously hope I get to spend A LOT MORE time to my main event entry than this mini competition piece.

I’ll post some more info once I actually get started with this.

New Challenges – Project “Crater”

Yo! About two weeks ago I heard from couple of my friends that they are planning to get themselves involved with some game making and of course it caught my interest too. Without much persuasion I found myself promising to take the responsibility of an art director in this. None of us are really experienced with this area, but all are wanting to learn — Gonna be a bumby road, but definitely great chance to pratice design and get more into always complex world of 3D models.

Gladly with this challenge I don’t have to run to the brickwall alone, while my fellow frozenhead TOIK decided to join us. He leans towards the game industry with his interests as well and wants to improve just like I do.

The first project meeting was held a week ago as a kick off for more detailed and organized planning of this game project. We’ll be posting more about this in the near future and keep updating the projects page whenever more stuff and information is released.

Concept Design Project

We started this school project around the same time as we began to plan and build up this website. Now the site is nearly done and the school project has progressed slowly in the background as well. At starters, the whole idea was to somehow use our school’s concept designing course to get time to draw some game concept art.

Well, we screwed that a bit up. Teachers had somewhat different idea in their mind of what a concept designing course should consist of – they were looking more of a new way to do services. Atleast my time went pretty much down the drain by just planning our concept and doing all the tasks they demanded us to do. We came up with a concept of a never-been-really-done-before game type (well, there might be a couple of exceptions). You can check out what’s our concept’s about from our projects page or just download a more specific written explanation of it from here.

For now the state of this project is at hold, but we still might return to it sometime or use the same concept base for a new project.

Site Up & Running

Hey folks! We managed to get our site up & running. Our masterplan was to build up some website so that we could become world famous artists. But in the mean time the purpose of this website is to serve as an online portfolio and convenient place to upload the results of our productivity. Let’s see where we’ll go from here.
